Featured in The Straits Times on sharing my view on the travel shift caused by Covid-19.
I recommends the authorities to take away road space in a gradual manner, to also in tandem with the other transport policies such as reducing the private vehicle population.
Taking away road space to do plans for bicycle and/or bus lanes during this covid or not, remains consistent to the overall White Paper for transport, in terms of favouring non-private transport in the long run thus reducing peak hour congestions.
Hence I applaude this consistent move by Government, to continue to expand this line of thought, even during this Pandemic.
In whatever situation we are in, I makes the best transport plans for the public, as the demand for transport will never be taken away from the societies I live it.
I strive to do my best!
